Cassidy

Cassidy…whoa, this awesome girl has overcome such hurdles, more than any teen should have to.  She was diagnosed with a brain tumor in the 7th grade, and courageously endured chemotherapy and radiation to battle this hand that had been dealt to her.  Cassidy will turn 18 in June of this year, and I could not be more proud of the person she has become.  She is taking her experience and using it to help children going through similar experiences…about to head off to college and study Child Development, and later focus as a Child Life Specialist….the wonderful people Cassidy could not live without during her difficult times in the hospital.  I’ve photographed Cassidy for as long as I can remember, and have so enjoyed watching her blossom to this amazing, strong, fine young woman that she is.  Cassidy has nothing but great things to give to this world, and I can’t wait to see her do it.

The ‘entire’ Woods Family!

This was the largest family portrait to date I have been asked to take!  I’ll admit, I was a bit nervous, unsure how I was going to pull this off.  But in the end, I was quite pleased with how the photos turned out.  The reason for these photos, is the children wanted to give their mother an updated portrait of the entire family, including the grandchildren.  I had to swap a couple heads, lol….since not everyone was smiling and this was the best shot, but it all worked out in the end and mom / grandma was pretty darn happy!  As for the guy in the purple shirt?  Yah…that’s Mike!  Don’t ask, lol!  I suppose he wanted to be original and yep, he succeeded!  We will always remember the purple shirt, that’s for sure!  I can joke about it…he’s a friend! 😉

The Woods Family

I have known the Woods family for many, many years….first meeting Mike and Leslie at the apartment complex my husband and I lived in, before we were married… in college.  These are such great people, can’t say enough nice things about them.  I’ve obviously known both their children, Sean and Leah, since they were born…and have had the pleasure of watching them grow to become very kind, all around wonderful kids.  I’ve had the honor of photographing this family for years now, and look forward to many more years to come…even though Sean may run and hide, lol!  He’s not really into the whole picture thing, haha!!!  He just knows he can’t run from me without showing me that winning smile! 😉

The Lazard Family

A beautiful day at Catlan Park with the Lazard family.  I’ll say it’s a challenge to gather the attention of a young baby and a three year old…but entertaining as well.  I tell ya…seeing the personalities of these little people, lol….it’s amazing to watch!  I have the pleasure of saying these lovely people are my neighbors, and it was an honor to photograph them and bring them memories to have in their lives forever.

The Dittig Family

Down at the Power House and Old Town Folsom with the Dittig Family….let me just say, I’m not sure who had more fun.  Mom, Sara, can have me in stitches within nothing flat…one of the funniest people I know and yet she doesn’t even need to work at it.  Dad, JD, well…let’s face it, he wasn’t looking forward to a couple hours of picture taking, but thankfully he ended up enjoying himself!  And Jackson….sweet Jackson.  Look at that kid….I mean, the cutest kid ever!  Like any two year old…Jackson wasn’t always full of smiles and giggles, but thanks to prepared parents, a goofy photographer and her assistant / friend….we managed to get some pretty cute photos!!!
